The Pink Lady

The Pink Lady, created in 2013, was conceived in response to the Nirbhaya Case in Delhi, India, which ignited widespread outrage and protests. Amidst the outcry for change, women’s safety, and justice, the Pink Lady began quietly appearing on walls in the form of stickers and paste-ups. Not long after, the Pink Lady began appearing in various cities across the globe.

Visit the Pink Lady Project to learn more and bring her to your city. We’re currently looking for outdoor walls across the US and the rest of the world.

The Pink Lady was created to inspire hope and strength while serving as a reminder that the fight to end gender-based violence and dismantle patriarchy is far from over.

Help us find outdoor walls and sponsors.
