“The idea is not to live forever, it is to create something that will.” - Andy Warhol
California-raised, Jas Charanjiva has returned home after a journey that took her to New York City and later to Mumbai, India, where her art career gained significant momentum and recognition. She went on to co-found Kulture Shop, India’s leading curated platform for Indian graphic artists, alongside her husband and a close friend.
With social change as the driving force behind her street art, Jas has devoted part of her focus toward exploring how far a symbol, originally created to champion women’s empowerment in one region of the world, can resonate globally and inspire societal transformation through grassroots efforts. This initiative is known as The Pink Lady Project.
Jas has collaborated with several brands such as Adidas, Apple, Absolut, Dulux Paints, Guiness Beer, House of Vans, Rolling Stone Magazine and St-Art India. Her work has been featured by countless media outlets such as Vogue India, BBC, The Economist, Elle, Condé Nast Traveller; and international travel shows and documentaries.
