"The New Sister" was created to stand in solidarity with those fighting against discrimination towards Muslims. She made her debut half a decade after the Pink Lady first graced the streets.

The inspiration for this sporty, burqa-clad figure came long before the Pink Lady, during a moment in Mumbai. While waiting to cross a busy street, a young woman in a full burqa and Adidas sneakers grabbed Jas' hand and said, "Let's go!" In that instant, Jas realized she hadn't even noticed the woman until then, a moment that left her reflecting on whether the burqa had rendered this bold, confident woman invisible. The pink stripe and the "Boom" label in the artwork symbolize the fearless spirit of that young woman.
